The creative work of Western European artists of the 19th and 20th centuries was influenced by oriental culture thanks to the first travels to eastern countries. Eastern visual arts gave rise to Orientalism; many artists, sculptors, and philosophers were inspired by it, which I will discuss in more detail in my review.
