7 Myths Associated with the Profession of a Tester

Finding bugs in programs is for the losers. Underpaid monotonous work, conflicts with developers, boring technical tasks, and other myths about the profession of a QA engineer.

Few people outside of the IT sphere know what the job of a tester is all about. They are often perceived as inept programmers or just amateurs who push all the buttons in a row just to find a bug by happy accident. However, a good quality assurance person is an important element in the product creation chain.

The tester should investigate production processes, think about failure scenarios, determine what factors affect the product, and correctly communicate their observations to colleagues.
