Fyodor Dostoevsky’s “The Village of Stepanchikovo”

Recently, I’ve finished some of Dostoevsky’s less known novels “The Village of Stepanchikovo” or how it is called if we make a literal translation of its title “The Village of Stepanchikovo and its inhabitants.” I find this second translation more accurate, correct, and representative because it bears this hint of irony and a specific Russian sense of humor that is so beautiful in Dostoevsky’s early short novel.
