Charles Dickens is often referred to as the social conscience of the Victorian age. His works became madly popular already during his lifetime. All of them are great, indeed, but I would like to pay attention to one very special novel now. Great Expectations is a story about the orphaned Pip told in a humorous and heartfelt way.
